Program description
We divide the description of WHISP into four parts. The motivation to
start this program is described in the Overview and is also reviewed in the Program report 1993. The main part of WHISP
consists of the 21cm HI-line observations of nearby galaxies. The way
the galaxies are being selected for observing is given in the Definition of the galaxy sample. How the galaxies
are observed at the WSRT is described in Observing
parameters.
