Major subprojects
The WHISP program contains four major subprojects. The foundation of
the WHISP program is the
WHISP Database Project, which as a main result has a database
of hundreds of galaxies, that are reduced and analyzed in a standard
way. The short observations is a
side-product of the WHISP Database Project, that may give valuable
information about the HI content of early-type galaxies. The Ph.D. projects are the most important
objective of the WHISP program. The optical data
have been taken to serve mainly as a supplement for the Ph.D.
projects.
