Purpose:       return the dimensionality of a coordinate word

Use:           INTEGER  GDSC_NDIMS( SET,           Input       character
                                    CWORD )        Input       integer

               GDSC_NDIMS    dimensionality of CWORD, it means:
                             each undefined axis in CWORD is counted.

               SET           set name      

               CWORD         coordinate word
