course of 60 Nottingham credits (corresponding to 0.5 year full-time
work) preparing new lecturers for teaching at University level. The
course is meant to introduce new University lecturers to the academic
environment. The participants are asked to use their own teaching as a

Participants' learning is supported by collegial groups (learning
sets), with input from experienced academics. Learning outcomes
