RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Evolution of dust in protoplanetary disks (PhD thesis). Theoretical modelling of various aggregation processes. Projects include:
Development of detailed coagulation models. A state-of-the-art, Monte Carlo coagulation model is developed, which can cope with (independent) multi-variate parameters.
Chondrule dust rimming and accretion. First stages of meteorite assembly?
Fragmentation of dust in disks. Needed to fit observations.

  • Star Formation in InfraRed Dark Clouds. Project investigated the presence of sources (young stars) in the W51 IRDC.
