Prepare db interface version of the User and Programmers Manual

Prepare report on performance and end user documentation of sAssociate.
Include some use cases and provide simple scripts for these cases.
Ingest USNO Naval catalog into Oracle10g for performance/scalability tests.
Prepare report for CWI db meeting early september and for G(A(VO)) collaboration

Quality control developments

AI All 06/29
New section(s) "cookbook descriptions of the various quality controls" must be added
to the Manual.tex in a seperate section in Manual.tex dedicated to QC.
Sub-Sections should include
- overall pipeline end-to-end check  (EH)
- flatfield qc (EH)
- photom qc (RV)
- astrom qc (ED)
- tutti frutti qc (EH)

      OAC and OmegaCEN stuff should be merged in this section (OAC)

Verify astrometry/regridding/coaddition of pipeline by applying the seeing/psf method.
 This is for image pipeline end-to-end check. Apply to demo data.

Object viewer/ User interface/ VO

It was decided to further expand the experimental Object viewer made by Michiel and to eventually develop it into different frames which show the underlying datastructures belonging to the different pipelines (image pipeline, photom pipeline, flat field pipeline, tutti frutti pipeline).
In this view Object viewer will facilitate:

- make inventory of needed functionalities
- make implemantion plan
- install a simple basic test version to be used by others  early september

Astrometry -QC

- Put QC parameters of LDAC  astrometry in pipeline; insert quality flags
- write section for cookbook
- make proposal for global (multi chip) astronomical solution

Flat field - QC

Make Python QC scripts using statistics in windows for QC usuable for ff, bias, science frames etc

Add check on background determination by Sextractor

Photometry - QC

- Put in manual.tex the description of extinction report etc
- add descriptions of zeropoint QC, compare etc and residual plots - all in Manual.tex QC section
- complete photometric pipeline doc.

- complete secondary standard report (with error analysis) and prepare this for scientific publication

DATA BASE Issues

Coming quarter we will focus on the implementation of the planned context/authorisation mechanism.  This is a very important step in the Awe db development and when combined with the federation mechanism will  lead to the eventual information  system.

- make outline + test implementation linking global context parameters as set in Python (Awe prompt) to subsections/authorization of the db
- ask Oracle for advise
- check out federation  developments (STREAMS vs Advance replication in 10g)
