GalactICS Software

This is a software package, developed by John Dubinski and Konrad Kuijken, for generating N-body realizations of axisymmetric galaxy models consisting of disk, bulge and halo. The method is described in our article published in MNRAS 277, 1341 (1995). The software is freely available to those interested in using it. The code, written partly in fortran-77 and partly in C, can be downloaded here as a gzipped tar file. A Readme file is included with compilation and usage instructions.
