Research

I work in the field of Extragalactic Astronomy, studying how galaxies formed and evolved in the first few billion years of cosmic time. My research is conducted with astronomical observations taken with world-class infrared (IR) and optical telescopes. At present my main focus is the scientific exploitation of the main IR space telescopes of this decade: JWST and Euclid. Since 2022 my research is funded by an NWO Vici Grant .

I am currently Coordinator of the NOVA Research Network 1 (NW1; Galaxies and Cosmology) .
