Document: options Purpose: Compiler options for some GIPSY source files Category: MANAGEMENT File: options.mgr Author: K.G. Begeman Description: Some GIPSY sources do not compile with the default compiler options, usually because of compiler bugs. The file options, which should reside in $gip_loc, contains the options which will be used by `compile'. Each `special' source has a one line entry in the $gip_loc/options file, and each entry constists of 6 fields, separated by colons (Each entry (line) may be spread over more than one line by putting a backslash before each newline). The fields have the following meaning: Field Meaning #1 architecure. #2 name of (compilable) source file. If the it is a compilable generated from the source file, the source file should be followed by the name of the generated compilable between brackets (). I.e. if the source is a sheltran source, then the generated compilable is a fortran source. Example: prut.shl(prut.f) troep.src(rommel.c) #3 Name of the compiler to use. If this field is empty, the compiler from $gip_loc/setup will be used. #4 Compiler options for installing. If this field is empty, the options from $gip_loc/setup will be used. #5 Compiler options for private use. If this field is empty, the options from $gip_loc/setup will be used. #6 Libraries and loader options. If this field is empty, the libraries and options from $gip_loc/setup will be used.
